Men are hopeless at noticing changes around the house, it has been revealed yesterday. A study found that women up and down the country have changed everything from curtains to wallpaper and even moved furniture without their other half noticing. One in ten women went as far as to say they...

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and to make sure you don't waste the most romantic day of the year we enlisted the help of r elationship expert Susan Quilliam to suggests the top Valentine’s Day movies to get your date in the mood for love… Film has the power to move you, but it’s not always the obvious choice, the romcom, that’s guaranteed to get you in the mood for love. The psychology of love (and lust) is a little more complex. To get your date in the mood for love on Valentine’s Day, watch out for moments that really push their 'passion buttons'. If a moment enthrals, terrifies, or bring tears to your date's eyes, that's your chance to make a move. Watching a film can evoke certain feelings and help lower our emotional barriers, making these moments the ideal opportunity to get up close and personal. To prolong the film's ‘lust-creating’ effect, make sure to talk about all the key moments afterwards so you can intensely relive them together. And once the credits have rolled, you can get down to acting on what you're both feeling.

First date dining can be a conundrum; do you go for full-on romance or a more chilled and relaxed vibe? Three courses or champagne and appetizers? Rustic Italian seafood restaurant, Pescatori, offers both and in a dining atmosphere that meets perfectly in-between all-out romantic and relaxed and informal, making it perfect for a first date. Located down a quiet street a short walk from Goodge Street station, Pescatori is a semi-fine dining restaurant where couples and small groups of friends go to escape the Friday after work crowds that spill on to the streets, even more so on an unseasonably warm January afternoon. Upon entering Pescatori dinners are warmly welcomed, their coats hanged and swiftly seated. The ambiance is pitch perfect for a first date; lights dimmed - but not too low. There is a rustic romantic feel as opposed to full-on formal. There’s wooden floors, pebbled walls and the kitchen staff can be seen flurrying about at the back of the room. Try and book a curved booth, which is spacious and comfortable, and will give you the freedom to talk without being heard by an adjacent table

Taking two holidays a year, having a meaningful conversation twice a week and cuddling 11 times in a fortnight are key to a happy marriage; it was revealed yesterday. A study of 2,000 happily married couples by Headwater Holidays has identified the main ingredients for a successful future together. It shows husband and wife benefit from taking a short break away together twice a year, and eating out in restaurants at least three times a month. And it pays to be affectionate, as wedded folk tend to share a lingering kiss six times a week, have sex twice a week and say “I love you” up to nine times a fortnight. But it doesn’t need to be sweetness and light the whole time as

Brits are at their fittest when they are in their thirties, a study has revealed. Adults in their mid to late thirties are more likely to exercise regularly, be members of gyms and sport clubs and eat a healthier diet than their counterparts in their twenties. A quarter of those polled said that having children had a big impact on their fitness levels and more than one in ten started leading a more active lifestyle once they knew they were having children. It certainly seems that people have a wake-up call when it comes to healthy living when approaching middle age.
